Ynyshir is a destination Michelin star Restaurant with Rooms, located on the coast of mid-Wales near the Snowdonia National Park. This is where you will find Gareth, in his beloved Ynyshir Kitchen which opens into the Restaurant. Here you will find that you are always a part of the experience – Gareth’s team of chefs serve each dish and explain how it was created and describe the incredible produce that they use. In the restaurant you will be served set menus that make the best of seasonal ingredients – the philosophy of Ynyshir is translated into every small dish, taking you on a journey of flavours, textures and ingredients.

Of course, you will find our beautiful Welsh Wagyu Beef on the menu – Gareth has been an amazing Ambassador for this product from the very early days of us working together, many years ago! The beef, for him, ticks all the boxes, in that it is local, the traceability and provenance are second to none, and the flavour is, in his words, The Best he has ever had. James Martin tried it recently live on television from Gareth’s Kitchen and said virtually the same as Gareth – so we know Ifor’s Welsh Wagyu is the best you will find!
