Deep in the beautiful county of Shropshire, the thriving centre of the Market Town of Whitchurch has benefited hugely over the past couple of years by the presence of Docket No. 33 ...... the brainchild of Stuart and Frances Collins. Nestled into the middle of the High Street, Docket No. 33 has brought a new sophistication and a welcome international influence to the restaurant scene in Shropshire, and yet the team diligently source their ingredients very locally and with a keen eye for quality and provenance.

Stuart takes his inspiration from a wealth of experience gained in many exotic parts of the world including London and New York, where he worked with Gordon Ramsay, and Doha, Qatar, where he worked on various hospitality projects for the Qatar Foundation. This talented chef also worked as Executive Chef at the Adobe Hotel in Chester with Michael Caines before opening Docket No.33 with Co-Owner and Restaurant Manager Frances, who is also Mrs. Collins! This husband and wife team, who met in the industry, share the same passion and commitment to the innovative use of local food suppliers which is providing some inspirational menus at Docket No.33.

 

 

As if this was not a big enough project for them to tackle along with the arrival of their new baby, Finlay, Team Collins has also now opened Docket No.64 in Chester - a contemporary Wine Bar where they use local British Artisan producers to create a selection of cheese and charcuterie boards, served with homemade biscuits and bread. The beverage list offers wines from around the world, wine flights and a bespoke cocktail menu, all sitting alongside a handpicked spirits list. Fortunately, Shropshire and Cheshire share borders, so you can comfortably fit in a trip to both of these food and drink emporiums if you plan your trip carefully!



"We couldn't believe our luck when we found Alternative Meats were just around the corner from Docket No. 33. We quickly realised that ALL the products they are supplying, but especially the British Rosé Veal Fillet, would find a place on our Menu and in the hearts of our customers. It is a joy to be able to say we source our ingredients locally, and we know that the provenance and traceability are exactly what we are looking for in our suppliers."
