We have recently been forced to increase our prices on these products - importantly, what you see is what you get with these steaks as there is no fat to trim or shrinkage during the cooking process.

Kudu Individual Steaks<br> +/- 160g The Kudu is known for its spectacular long spiral horns and its name is derived from the Hottentot name "koodoo". These antelope browse on a very wide range of plants including a variety of leaves, herbs, fruits, vines and flowers. The meat is coarse grained and dark red in colour.

Springbok  Individual Steaks +/- 160g This meat is fine grained and has a wonderful herby flavour gained from the tiny leaves of the Karoo shrubs, giving the meat a very fresh smell. The name "springbok" comes from the Dutch words "spring" (jump) and "bok" (buck).

Zebra Individual Steaks +/-160g These are Burchell's Zebra, bred on the plains as opposed to the Cape Mountain Zebra. They prefer short grass areas, forming huge herds during seasonal migration.

Wildebeest individual Steaks +/-160g The wildebeest, so named by Dutch settlers which means wild beast, is also known as a gnu and is a large antelope. The animals migrate in herds of more than 1 million in May, where they feed in open woodlands until November, then return to the Serengeti.

Blesbok  Individual Steaks +/- 160g These antelope browse on a very wide range of plants including a variety of leaves, herbs, fruits, vines and flowers. They dislike wooded areas, preferring to range the plains. The meat is coarse grained and dark red in colour, and very similar to Kudu and Impala in texture and taste.

Impala Individual Steaks<br> +/- 160g These steaks are very similar in colour and taste to Kudu, or Venison if you have not tried South African Game before. Most recognisable in the wild for their startle reflex, when the whole herd starts leaping about in order to confuse their predator.
